These vases are part of a series where the focus was on exploring surface texture and form. The shapes were kept organic and balanced, allowing the glaze work to become the main point of interest. Each piece was built with attention to how the surface would react in the kiln - the contrast between smooth areas and rougher sections, the way the glaze settles, and the subtle variations that make each vase unique. The result is a pair of pieces that feel both sculptural and functional, with a tactile quality that invites closer inspection.
